How
do I know what size bike to buy?
This sizing table is meant as a guide only.
Most of the Children's Cycles recommend an age range
in the description, and sometimes an inside leg measurement.
Note:
The Haro specialist range are one size only due to their
nature. Therefore there is no need to use this guide.
This also applies to most of the BMX models featured.
If
in doubt please e-mail us

will take seven days usually to deliver to mainland
Britain. If this is not the case then we will notify
you by E mail. Sorry but we cannot currently deliver to other countries.

Are
credit card transactions really secure?
The
big Internet / E-Commerce question, the answer? YES.
We use the most secure method of data encryption available.
This means that your card details are transported safely
to our secure server for authorization, more secure
than any high street store offering credit card transactions
via a phone line.

How
much is delivery?
Delivery
of bikes in the mainland UK is £8! For orders
under £50 we charge £5
Top
Do
I need to assemble my new bike?
The
bikes are delivered partially assembled. In order
to transport your cycle safely some of the items are
removed.

skills are needed just to follow the simple steps. However,
please contact Bike-Direct if you have any questions
concerning this process. Safety is our No1 priority.

I have a brochure?
Im
sorry but we dont give out brochures, our site is intended
to be our catalogue.

Do
I get a warranty?
Yes.
Buying a bike from us is the same as buying a bike from
a High St retailer. All cycles are covered by full manufacturers
warranties. Full warranty instructions are enclosed
with every bicycle.

Why
buy on-line?
Simple,
you save because we have minimal upkeep.
As an internet company we don't have a showroom to upkeep
and we don't have sales staff to pay. Due to this we
don't need to make as much profit on the sales of the
bikes.
It also leaves you free during your leisure time, to
do what you should be doing, enjoying yourself.

How to buy?
1. Use the "search panel" to select your prefered bike.
This is a very advanced search engine, it is possible
to 'over narrow' your search, so be careful and reset
the fields when carrying out a subsequent search
3. When you have found
the item that you want, click on the "Buy me"button. You will see the item(s) in
your shopping cart, if you wish to add more items click
on the search button to locate your next item. If you
click the 'Shopping Basket' button on the left at any time
you will be able to see and edit the items that you
have in your shopping basket.
4. When you've got all
the items you want, click the Order button. You will
be asked for some information including your name, address,
telephone and credit card number. We take all major
Credit and Debit cards.
5. If you import the cycle
into your country, you are liable for the import duty
and / or any other fees imposed by that country.

Taking
a Bike by Plane or Train?
It's easier than you think to take a bike by plane or
train. Some Train Operating Companies have relaxed
rules on carrying bikes, and abolished charges. On long-distance
routes you have to pre-book your bike and pay £? per
journey either at a staffed station , or very much quicker
and easier by phoning one of the credit card lines such
as Virgin Trains on 0345 222 333 or GNER on 0345 225
225, or interactively over the net from The
TrainLine (we like this option). The CTC
have a good information sheet for members but
you'll have to join them first.
Air operators seem to be much more relaxed about taking
bikes, but check with them first.
